The SGSF is a football platform for all stakeholders concerned in providing a better future for the Girls in the National Capital Region and beyond. Schools and Students are pivotal in creating awareness and initiating actions early on for Gender Equality and Empowerment for a better Life and Status in society.

Leading by example – School Girls in Delhi-NCR will commence the campaign for equality and empowerment through football in the School Girls Soccer Festival (SGSF).

The School Girls Soccer Festival Program is under the FIFA – Development Guidelines for Girls Soccer with the festival being held under the umbrella of the Delhi Soccer Association.

The School Girls Soccer Festival has Two Programs, 1. Learning & Development: Carnival Fun Games, Expert Workshops & Clinics; and 2. Competition: 4 Days Championship League Matches

Only eight schools will be selected to compete in The Championship League with the criteria being that only Schools able to send 3 teams in the Different Class Groups (Class 3 to 5, Class 6 to 8, and Class 9 to 12) on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Team Registration and Fees are required only for the Competition in the Championship League Matches with the registration for the The Championship League closes on October 25, 2013.

For Participation in the Learning and Development Program, a list of 100 Girl students may be submitted for admission. No fees will be charged by the organisers.

Registration is open to all girls between 5 and 19 years of age who want to register and play footall. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.

The Festival will Kick-Off on October 29 with learning sessions, while The Championship League will be held on November 1, 8, 12 and 15. All five days would be held and played at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi from 9am to 12.30pm.
