Schurrle was given a start along with Mata in the game against Steaua Bucharest and they did not disappoint. This was a comfortable, professional performance away from home and that score flattered the home team.
The star of the show was Schurrle who despite not getting on the scoresheet was a constant threat to Bucharest.
He was man of the match in the game with a glittering performance that including an assist and the ability to torment the Bucharest right back at will.
He was playing wide on the left and played like a genuine winger as the image below shows.
