Along with new monsters and items to collect, Sea of Thieves players were also given a new series of five Tall Tales to complete. It’ll take some time, though completing every Tall Tall in A Pirate’s Life unlocks a pretty special reward. That’s not to mention players earn tons of commendations as they go along, one of which is the Dark Desires Commendation. Players have the opportunity to get it while completing the Dark Brethren Tall Tale, though it can be easily missed if not known beforehand. No worries - this guide will steer the ship in the right direction.

How To Get The Dark Desires Commendation in Sea of Thieves
Since Sea of Thieves players can only obtain this commendation during the Dark Brethren Tall Tale, they’ll, of course, need to have the previous three completed. Once starting the Dark Brethren Tall Tale, players should look out for the moment after they disembark from a water slide. It’ll place them in the middle of eavesdropping on an intriguing conversation between the Brethren Court.
It’s tempting, but Sea of Thieves players shouldn’t be quick to leave this conversation in the air. Instead, players should walk up but stay hidden and fully listen to the entire conversation among the Brethren Court. It’s an excruciating three-minute wait, but eavesdropping for the entire conversation will unlock the Dark Desires commendation. Then, once they leave to start the ritual, it’s all safe and clear to move on.
While they’re here, Sea of Thieves players ought to collect the Dark Brethren journals. They’re just one of the few sets of journals left for players to discover, though they are a little hard to track down. A pirate’s life is far from an easy one, especially now that players have infiltrated Davy Jones’ fortress. However, Jack Sparrow is a more than able companion, meaning even solo players have little to worry about.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
