“I have no interest in becoming the head coach at Pitt,” Miller said in a statement posted to his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

CBS Pittsburgh reported Tuesday Miller was offered the job at his alma mater, and sounded optimistic that a deal would happen. The report also said Miller was in Pittsburgh to meet with the team. Multiple reports denied that Miller was in Pittsburgh, and said he was in his office in Tucson.
Pitt is searching for a new coach after Jamie Dixon left for Texas Christian University.
Miller, 47, played guard at Pitt from 1987-92 and served as an assistant coach for the Panthers in 1995-96. He’s compiled a 307-108 record as head coach of Xavier and Arizona.
